Description
The FLAJ/FLFJ/FLGJ series electromagnetic-brake induction motors are fully enclosed, air-cooled squirrel-cage three-phase asynchronous motors designed in accordance with IEC standards. They feature rapid braking, a compact design, high energy efficiency, high reliability, and high starting torque. The motor’s brake is equipped with a manual release mechanism, enabling combined operation of manual and electromagnetic braking for ease of use.
The housing, end caps, terminal box, and removable feet are made of aluminum alloy, giving the motor an elegant appearance and a smooth surface. Nevertheless, the FLAJ/FLFJ/FLGJ series of aluminum-housed motors share the same dimensions and output power as the IE3/IE2/IE1 series of three-phase induction motors. They are suitable for mechanisms requiring rapid braking, precise positioning, repetitive operation, and frequent starting while avoiding slippage, such as hoisting machinery, conveying machinery, packaging machinery, food processing machinery, printing machinery, and gear reducers.
Principle and Structure: The DC brake disc is mounted on the non-drive end shaft of the motor. When power is supplied, the brake engages; the electromagnetic force attracts the iron core and compresses the spring, thereby releasing the brake disc from the iron core and end cap, allowing the motor to begin operating; When the power is cut off, the electromagnetic force disappears, and the spring pushes the iron core toward the brake disc, causing the motor to stop immediately and completing the braking action.
The FLAJ/FLFJ/FLGJ series of motors has given rise to the FLADJ/FLFDJ/FLGDJ series of multi-speed electromagnetic-brake three-phase induction motors and the FLAVJ/FLFVJ/FLGVJ series of variable-frequency electromagnetic-brake three-phase induction motors.
